Try to write a response of at least 200 words. Discuss some of the following questions:
What is an alchemist? What is a fable? Be sure to read the prologue which is a form of foreshadowing. It gives the reader a hint as to what may happen.
Here are some questions to get you started:
Why does Santiago's father let him go? Do you think the saying "the grass is always greener on the other side" is true?
What is a Personal Legend? What is your personal legend?
Other kinds of things you could blog:
1. Have your original ideas changed? How Why?
2. What has been revealed to you about your classmates or yourself?
2. What personal connections can you make between the novel and your own life? The world?
Remember this is NOT an email but a place to write responses to The Alchemist. Just like hand- writing a response paragraph in Jean's class, here you must type a response and share it with the world! Writing is meant to be READ! Enjoy.

ReplyDeleteI know you are very busy, struggling with our essays, journals and other things. However I'd like to appreciate you to teach us about blog. I really see you as an Alchemist for the class. You are opening new sights of our world. you are making "change" in our hearts, even a bit. Believing, everyone likes your method of teaching. Believing, everyone likes you as a perfect instructor.
